Telepathy

Mmm... it's late Monday evening but let's just pretend that time wasn't such a bitch and that it's still Sunday evening...

It's been a thoroughly lazy day. Weird, had so many plans today... to do some hardcore revision and then savour the Godfather part I in the night, but things never really do quite work out like you plan do they? I'm now just lying on my bed, looking out at my newly decorated room, listening to "Hellhole Ratrace" by Girls from my awesome musm Marleigh's playlist... and in this moment of utter tranquility... I understand. I understand what was once a previously hard to digest playlist is actually insanely riveting (which sounds frivolous, but I understand now the power of music over my emotions and the tone of things)... I understand that ultimately, in the highest form of sentience, love and calmness of mind and soul conquer all... I understand that everything, though in flux, is somehow very strangely, and perhaps sometimes frustratingly, how it should be.

New room... not much but I love it... it's sho cozy like sarkozy *chav voice*...
Sorry had to try that.
Damn I don't know how Lou Reed totally kills it

I had an amazing day yesterday... Went down to my definite favorite local boutique, Surrender, to get the pair of Thom Brownes I've been yearning for for quite some time now. Just going into the place and savoring the atmosphere, the sensibilities, the aesthetic and aura... the vibe of the people who bounce off there... it was so calming and so so refreshing. I know... ultra-CREEPER-moment, but I wish I lived there... My future home's so gonna rock that same shit. And it made me realize that for some reason, interior decor and architecture resonate with me so much more strongly than art right now - not art in general, the field is still amazing... but contemporary art.

Contemporary art, of the moment, feels just disappointingly, too sleek. Just the feel of it I guess...  The whole feel of the term "contemporary art"... "contemporary" itself as a word is already rather bothersome. I don't know... there's just not much power in overt sleekness as compared to the intimate, fairly balanced, with the perfect tinge of kitsch, sensibility that makes things all the more perfect - which is (I guess) what sleekness tries to accomplish, just that the balanced sensibility of light-hearted slightly kitschy GENIUS does it with more degage... I mean compare Ryan Trecartin's nonchalantly, fucken GENIUS ultra-kitschy but SO SO crisp and SO SO BITING works with that of obsessively sharp and uncompromising triple-decker-post-modernism sleekness... there's just no more bite, no more charm and no more soul to it... Feels dead really.

But more importantly, and with slightly more finality, a NEW sensibility is dawning upon me...
Yes I know how they keep surprise-bunghole-buttpooping out on me, but it's a teenagers idiosyncrasy, what can I say? It's the only thing that keeps me engaged

HAHAHAHAHA FARKK I LOVE THESE 2 GIFS HAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!
It's the subtle realisation (and I'm still feeling my way round) that all the things, only when they come in balance and harmony, lead to ultimate satisfaction and sustainability. It's really like the whole culmination of lifestyle, great clothes, art, food, architecture, music, films, etc etc etc that forms the cloud of AWESOMENESS!
I don't know, sounds really trite, but bleh can't describe!

So yes, let's do with a mini Fantasy Friday!
*I know, it's horrible that my posts are going from Fantasy Friday to Fantasy Friday... but the power in the visceral images is just intensifying, and words don't quite suffice anymore*

Me in my new high waisted Thom Brownes... sorry for the crappy photography!
Saving up for Mr Hares to finish it off now :)

This Mr Porter banter was just SO SICK!
My god the website's marketing is genius

You know I've never really been much of a watch person... but somehow the more I embrace this whole menswear-GQ sensibility, the more they are growing on me. Strictly leather-straps only though so far...
Look at that gorgeous baby... drool

 And yeap, cars as well.

God this is like going full circle, but with such an enhanced perspective I think

Met up with my Momseypoo-from-heaven, master Tsarina sensei for dinner last night too... and my god what a feast! We had spanish food at Don Quijote and woop woop it was sooo awesome. She was educating me about the 70s, how it was the golden age of hollywood, of pop culture, of creativity, of pretty much AWESOMENESS... Warhol, Lou Reed, The Cramps, Francis Ford Coppola, John Travolta, Disco, Punk, Grunge, etc etc etc... My god.

 I'm blessed
